Position Summary Description

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to be responsible for assisting with the biweekly payroll processing and duties related to running a multi-state, multi-entity payroll. Performs audits to ensure proper payroll processing such as benefit deductions, vacation accrual, holiday pay, overtime pay, on-call pay and leave of absence validation.


  • Process full-cycle multi-state, multi-entity payroll for approximately 2000+ employees accurately and on time.
  • Ensures the integrity of payroll data by accurately calculating and processing client payrolls, including taxes, employee benefits, garnishments, sick leave, and other payroll deductions.
  • Assist managers, timekeepers, and schedulers with systems to ensure accurate time accounting for all employees.
  • Ensuring legal compliance is always maintained. Keeping up to date with changes in payroll laws and regulations and communicating any changes to clients
  • Coordinate with HR and other departments to gather and verify employee data, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and benefits deductions.
  • Providing excellent customer service by answering payroll-related questions and resolving any issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Stay updated on changes to payroll regulations, tax laws, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Assist with payroll system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements, including testing, training, and documentation.
  • Generate payroll reports and analyses as needed for management and external stakeholders.
  • Cultivates and maintains working relationships with all levels of the organization with a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Maintaining accurate records and producing payroll reports. Create and maintain payroll SOPs.
  • Balancing and controlling earnings and deduction totals.
  • Processing VOE’s, garnishments and levies.



  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in multi-state payroll processing.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office and advanced in Excel.
  • Proficiency with payroll software and systems, experience with Dayforce a plus.
  • Strong understanding of payroll tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with payroll integration projects, including acquisitions and system implementations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and interact with employees at all levels.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year

Schedule: Weekends as needed

Work setting: in person

Work Location: Fort Worth office.
